My latest video project saw me travelling all over the country with my trusty Sony EX1 and Glidetrack.

The resulting video is being distributed on YouTube, DVD and download.

This is the first of a series and includes more than a dozen clips for use across a variety of Social Media.

I have just finished my longest ever time-lapse video shoot.

In all I was filming for just over year.

The subject was a chemical plant which was being demolished in the North East of England. During the shoot I used my Sony EX1 as well as some small Samsung HD video cameras. Unfortunately the confidentiality agreement I signed means I cannot show you any of the resulting footage from this job. Hopefully I will be able to share the next job with you.

So the Get Carter car park in Gateshead is being demolished after years of waiting.

During a site visit today I had the chance to be one of the last people to walk to the top of the car park before demolition starts, which is something I had never managed to do before. I had always only been able to get half way up, because the higher floors were sealed off.

I hope to be able to post some pictures but the Time Lapse video sequence will have to wait till after the demolition is complete.

Great weekend being part of the team filming the demolition of the Howard Street Bridge in Jarrow.

We filmed for 31 hours using the Sony EX1 in time lapse mode and the Canon XH A1, tethered by firewire to a Laptop, also doing time lapse.

Good days work filming in BVI House, Mayfair, London today. Client happy, which is all you can ask for really.

Now on the last train back to Newcastle - the 10:00pm from Kings Cross. Back in Newcastle for 2:20am!

I will need to be out again at 3:00am Saturday morning for a 36 hour shoot of a bridge being demolished.

It was my Health and Safety briefing today before the week-ends shoot. The area we have been given to film from is excellent and the forecast is really good.I also have had permission to Blog some pictures so I will post some at the week-end.

Meanwhile its time to pack the bags for a day trip to London to do some filming at an event in Mayfair.

Interesting sky this evening whilst out filming in the Tyne Valley. Footage captured as always on my Sony EX1. Also had a Canon XHA1 tethered to my Laptop and recording time lapse footage using Adobe OnLocation CS3. Will post video from the Canon Laptop combination when I am finally happy with the best workflow. I have two weeks to get this right before a 36 hour shot to film some demolition work for which I will need two HD cameras.
